Going to an american style diner
When doing more research into my chosen soundscape I used this to go and hear the sounds at Ed's diner in churchill square listerning to the repetitive sounds. When writing my first plan with different sounds i wanted to add in i came across a few others that are key to the certain sound scape.
-Background Radio music from speakers
- Certain American diner language

Interview planning
Flower shop intervieow
The Brighton flowers
102 Western street
Plan or flow of interview:
- Light hearted introduction back to the radio show
- Start talking to listeners about Independent business and the history and struggle in Brighton
- Talk about the different events created to help and support businesses
- Introduce Glen the flower stall owner and his life that led up to him owning and running this shop
- Talk about his family and his father
- Ask him about his strengths and weaknesses about the shop
- His highlights and concerns about the stall
- How the local community helped and supported his business
- How he has the community helped him
Mood:
Quirky light hearted interview allowing the interviewee to feel comfortable
Jokes and laughter
Music to be upbeat
Appealing to young adults looking to start their own business
Question I could ask:
What led or inspired you to run and own your own flower stall?
what strengths have you gained whilst being at the flower stall?
Is their anything you would change?
Have you faced any problems that led to a scare of your shop being shut down?
